Youth Programs

Are you confused and overwhelmed with career decisions?

Are you having difficulty with your job search?

Are you in need of a new resume and advice on interviewing?

Have you graduated from post-secondary school but haven’t landed your first career job?

Bow Valley College offers two youth employment programs for youth ages 15-30 years old to assist you in gaining employment in today’s competitive job market:

Youth Skills Connection

This program is for all youth ages 15-30 who are unemployed, not in school full-time and looking for work. Participants of this program attend a 5-week paid workshop which consists of career planning, job search and employability skills topics. After the workshop, participants are placed in an 11-week paid work experience in an entry-level position in the direction of their career aspirations. The work experiences are intended to lead to full-time employment.

Connections to the Workplace

This program is for recent post-secondary graduates who have just completed a certificate, diploma or degree program, and are in search of work. Participants are placed in a 12-week work experience. The work experiences are intended to lead to full-time employment.

These programs are funded by the Government of Canada.
